August is packed with essential new vinyl releases and reissues, from Wet Leg and David Bowie to Paul Weller and David Gilmour.
It’s been a scorcher out there - and not just weather-wise 🌞 August’s new releases are landing thick and fast, with must-hear albums, deluxe reissues, and exclusive offers that are well worth a look. Plus, if you’re a Bruce or Bob fan… we’ve got you covered (of course!)
First up, Wet Leg have done it again. moisturizer sees the Isle of Wight outfit level up, it’s sharper, cheekier, and somehow even more chaotic than their Grammy-winning debut. Brash guitars, biting wit, and heavy hooks all make it a standout of the summer. On the blues-rock front, Joe Bonamassa’s Breakthrough is an electrifying listen, gritty, emotional and full of blistering fretwork, as you’d expect from the modern master.
David Bowie fans, this month’s centrepiece is I Can’t Give Everything Away (2002,2016) , an enormous CD and vinyl box set that dives deep into his later years. It includes a full Montreux Jazz Festival set from 2002, the final ★ (Blackstar) album, B-sides, rarities and a beautiful book of photos, notes and memorabilia. David Gilmour also delivers with: The Luck and Strange Concerts (on 2CD or 4LP) and a stunning live performance from the Circus Maximus, available on DVD or Blu-ray.
If you’re a collector, the recently reissued Buckingham Nicks album (remastered from the original analog tapes) and Paul Weller’s Find El Dorado are well worth tracking down. Speaking of Weller, everyone who pre-ordered El Dorado from us was automatically entered into a draw to win a signed test pressing. If you missed out, keep an eye on our future exclusives… you never know what’s around the corner.
Bruce Springsteen’s The Ties That Bind fan club members just got an exclusive peek at the full setlist from his barnstorming Milan show, a 27-song knockout that proves The Boss isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Join the club and you’ll be the first to hear about future releases, early access, and insider-only extras.
Meanwhile, Bob Dylan is heading back to the UK, and we’ve secured a limited batch of front block tickets for his opening night at Brighton Centre. You’ll also get a swish sea-view room at the Mercure just 10 minutes from the venue. These packages are super limited, so now’s the time to jump.
As we hit the halfway mark of 2025, we’ve put together our Albums of the Year (So Far) list, a lovingly curated mix of best-sellers, critic favourites and hidden gems that have defined our year in music so far. From Neil Young and Sam Fender to Squid, Little Simz and Mogwai, it’s a stacked lineup that covers every corner of the shop. Has your favourite made the cut? Or is there something brilliant you’ve missed?
