Record Store Day 2026. The List Has Landed!

The official Record Store Day 2026 list is here! Over 400 exclusive releases landing Saturday 18th April - all available in-store only at indie shops like Badlands.

Set your alarms and clear your calendar. Record Store Day 2026 hits on Saturday 18th April, and the official release list has just dropped! It’s another vinyl lover’s dream, packed with exclusive pressings, never-before-heard live recordings, and limited runs you’ll only find in independent record shops like us.

This year’s lineup is stacked – we’re talking everything from David Bowie, Blur, and The Cure, to rarities from jazz legends, punk icons, and fresh new artists. There are over 400 releases coming – including boxsets, coloured vinyl, picture discs, and reissues.

So, how does it work?

If you’re new to Record Store Day or just need a refresher:

  • All RSD titles are exclusive to indie shops and only available in-store on the day itself (no pre-orders, no online sales).
  • We’ll open early and stock as much of the list as we can – but numbers are limited and titles can fly out.
  • In past years we’ve had queues forming just after midnight – and at one point, they stretched right to the end of the road. So if there’s something you’ve got your eye on, plan ahead!
  • We usually have a massive selection, but we’d still love to hear what you’re after – drop us a line at shop@badlands.co.uk or use the contact form to let us know your wish list. It really helps us get as many of the right titles ordered in for the day.
  • We’ll share our full RSD plans as soon as we have them – so keep an eye on our Instagram, Facebook and emails for opening times, queue details and what we’ve got coming in.

Based in Cheltenham? Pop down and be part of the action. Travelling from further afield? You’ll be in good company – we’ve had people join us from all over the UK for RSD at Badlands.

Why Record Store Day matters

RSD isn’t just about shiny vinyl (though there’s plenty of that) it’s a celebration of UK independent record stores and the community we’ve built together. Whether you’re a seasoned Springsteen collector or just picking up your first LP, you’re part of what makes Badlands tick.

So yes, it’s gonna be busy, it’s gonna be exciting, and it’s gonna be full of vinyl you can’t get anywhere else.
