‘Blood Spilled’ - the latest single from Blonde Redhead - pairs cascading guitars, relentless rhythms and one of vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Kazu Makino’s most explosive vocal performances, with an exploration of mortality, grief and the enduring bond between body and soul.
The song surges with ecstatic intensity as Kazu lingers on “each and every cell” and the urge to “sing and scream just to hear myself,” transforming these moments into affirmations of the beauty, vulnerability and freedom of physical existence.
Suspended between the earthly and the ethereal, the track finds transcendence, not by escaping the body, but by fully inhabiting it, turning profound loss into a fierce celebration of being alive.
The track is accompanied by unreleased B-side ‘Crimson Door’.
The single arrives amongst global touring and festival dates throughout 2026.
Notable syncs include a massive ‘Rick & Morty’ sync across multiple episodes on ‘For The Damaged Coda’ plus syncs on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘You’, ‘Ray Donovan’ and more.
