Recorded in Paris on March 15, 1976, Live at the Elysee Montmartre captures Bobby Womack at the height of his powers, delivering the intensity and charisma that made him a legendary stage performer. This is a powerful, previously unheard document of one of soul music's most enduring and influential artists.
Transferred from the original tape reels preserved at INA (the French national audiovisual institute), this limited-edition, 180-gram 2LP set is presented in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with an extensive insert featuring rare photographs and specially prepared liner notes. All tracks previously unissued.
Bobby Womack was one of the most distinctive voices in soul music - singer, songwriter, and guitarist whose work bridged gospel, R&B, and funk. From his early days with The Valentinos to his classic solo recordings for United Artists Records, Womack shaped the sound of modern soul with raw emotion and fearless creativity. His songs have influenced generations of artists across soul, rock, and hip-hop.
