Originally released in 1991, On Every Street is the sixth and final studio album by British rock band Dire Straits.
Recorded at London’s AIR Studios and led by Mark Knopfler’s distinctive guitar work and understated songwriting, On Every Street features lead single ‘Calling Elvis’ as well as ‘Heavy Fuel’, ‘On Every Street’ and ‘The Bug’. The album reached Number 1 in the Official Album Charts in the UK and across Europe; and is certified multiplatinum across the globe.
The accompanying 14-month On Every Street tour, which would become the bands’ last, comprised of over 210 concerts played to over 3.5 million people in 22 countries.
This National Album Day 2LP half-speed mastered black vinyl is cut using a specialist technique – an artisan process, overseen by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios in London.
