Badlands has always been more than just an independent music shop – it’s a home for passionate music fans, and none more so than Bruce Springsteen enthusiasts. Founded by avid fans Philip and Steven Jump, and named after the classic 1978 Springsteen track Badlands, paying tribute to the artist who’s been at the heart of their journey. With countless concerts and tours under their belts, Philip and Steven have followed Bruce all over the world, seeing him perform live 100s of times from intimate club shows in New Jersey to sold-out stadiums throughout Europe.

Steven sadly passed away in 2013 (aged 56). Philip’s deep-rooted passion for Bruce Springsteen’s music and the amazing support from the “Badlands family” has helped Phil carry on and he is very proud that Badlands continues in tribute to his dear brother. The (unofficial) Ties That Bind fan club now boasts thousands of members worldwide. For decades, Badlands has proudly supported Springsteen devotees through this long-established fan community, offering a space where music lovers can come together, celebrate Springsteen’s legacy, and enjoy exclusive benefits.

As a member of "The Ties That Bind", fans receive regular email newsletters, tour updates. There are also exclusive offers on limited-edition merchandise, rare collectibles, and priority booking for tickets and travel to concerts, ensuring members get the best chance to see him live.
